Waringarri Art and Culture Tours wins Gold medal at the 2024 Perth Airport Western Australia Tourism Awards.
Waringarri Art and Culture Tours is thrilled to have won the Gold medal at the 2024 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Experiences category!
Cathy Ward (Tour Guide/Artist) and Nathan Thomas (Artist) proudly accepted the award last night at the prestigious gala at Crown Perth. As a gold medalist, Waringarri Art and Culture Tours will go on to represent Western Australia at the Australian Tourism Awards in Adelaide next March.
“It's an honour to get gold in winning the award. It's all about truth telling, sharing our culture and art. Our old people back home would be proud, even the ones that left us. I am proud of myself and the rest of the tour team for our hard work.” - Cathy Ward.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists at the awards. It was inspiring to see so many operators from the Kimberley represented.
