Peggy Griffiths honoured at 2024 State Cultural Treasures Awards.
Senior Waringarri artist and elder Peggy Griffiths has been recognised at the 2024 State Cultural Treasures Awards.
At last night’s ceremony in Perth at the Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip, Peggy was honoured as one of nine outstanding Western Australian artists with this prestigious award, celebrating her lifelong contribution to the arts and community.
Peggy is a prolific artist, performer, senior cultural knowledge keeper, and a highly respected Elder and mentor. Her unwavering dedication, passion, and profound impact on both the arts sector and the community continue to inspire us all.
Congratulations to all the award recipients, and especially to Peggy – this recognition is truly well-deserved.
