About This Project
Ben Galmirrl Ward features at the Melbourne Art Fair from 17-20 February 2022. Waringarri Arts' Ben Ward have been chosen along with four other Indigenous art centres to represent high calibre Indigenous contemporary artists from remote regions. The Fair's inaugral Indigenous Art Centre Program provides an exciting opportunity for Ward's work to be seen by eastern state audiences and international curators. Working right through the Christmas break, Ward has produced an exceptional body of work to be showcased at the Waringarri Arts booth - K5. Even though Ward is unable to attend, zoom sessions with the artist will be scheduled over the fair weekend. Melbourne Art Fair tickets are for sale here.
Agency Projects has partnered with the Melbourne Art Fair to deliver the Indigenous Art Centre program which is supported by the Australian Government Office for the Arts: Indigenous Visual Art Industry Support (IVAIS) Program and Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
